Fasken Indoor Track & Field Facility is a 130,500 square foot intimate venue for indoor track events. While the venue is a hybrid structure consisting of a pre-engineered steel frame and PVC-coated fabric skin, the structure’s base is surrounded by a traditional masonry wall, providing contextual connections to the nearby E.B. Cushing Track & Field Stadium. The two structures sit side by side, separated only by the outdoor warmup area and the outdoor throwing events area. The structures are designed to be complementary to one another, supporting the great track and field history at Texas A&M.
The spectator seats are arranged around the 200m fixed bank oval in a horseshoe configuration. This affords spectators a choice of viewing based on their interest. The field events are located within the oval. The spectator circulation and seats are elevated above the event surface so that the circulation of athletes in and around the oval impede the spectators’ sightlines as little as possible. The throwing events are located at the open end of the horseshoe with dedicated spectator seating at the edge of the cage safety netting. The videoboard for replay and scoring is situated between the oval and the throws area.
The Fasken Indoor Track & Field facility is World Athletics certified and will host the 2025 SEC Indoor Track & Field Championships.
